I'm very happy to be a part of the "Scientists Who Are Artists" show now at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn from May 7 to June 26, 2021.  Come see an array of unique work by six artists who have or have had scientific careers as well.  I have ten watercolors and one India Ink and charcoal piece in the show.

I have entered 'Along the Seine' (15 x 22 in., seen at left) into the Baltimore Watercolor Society Signature Members Exhibit, which will be on exhibit at the Delaplaine Art Center here in Frederick MD.  The show will open on October 3, 2020 and run until November 1.  It is wonderful to see art shows happening again.

From June 8 to July 13, 2019 my painting seen at left, 'On Carroll Creek' was on display at the Blackrock Center for the Arts in Germantown, MD having been juried into the 2019 Mid-Atlantic Regional Watercolor Exhibition organized by the Baltimore Watercolor Society.

In March and April 2019, I was the featured artist at The Muse gift shop, 19 N. Market St., Frederick.  Small paintings of Frederick like the one at left were on display, and I did watercolor demonstrations there from 1-3 pm on First Saturday, March 2, followed by a reception from 5-9 pm.

In June 2018- my painting 'Rainy Night at Macy's' (seen at left) was juried into the Mid-Atlantic Regional Watercolor Exhibition held at the Black Rock Center for the Arts in Germantown, MD, see: www.blackrockcenter.org/2018-mid-atlantic-regional-watercolor-exhibition/

For the month of February 2017, I was part of a show of watercolors and glassworks held at 505 North Gallery and Studio in downtown Frederick.  It was a wonderful opening and show experience.  Thanks to Kelly Phebus for putting it all together!

At left, my Quick Draw painting from Easels in Frederick done on 6-18-16 of E. Patrick St.   It was a great morning for painting and I enjoyed seeing what everyone else did as well.

This is a wonderful new book just released by watercolor artist Leslie Frontz, AWS, NWS, who has won many watercolor awards including the AWS Alden Bryan Memorial Medal with $2500 in 2014.  It covers the basics of watercolor and also has much to offer the advanced painter.  Leslie's work is spectacular, and contains the freshness and looseness I seek in my own work.  The book is available on Amazon here.

I am proud to have a demo of mine featured on pages 169-172 and have work featured on pages 65 and 113 as well.  I met Leslie through her husband Harold, who has been a juried artist at Easels in Frederick several times.  Both are wonderful artists, see
